About this property

Welcome to The Warwick by Nestor

The Warwick by Nestor is a modest hotel situated in the Pimlico area of London, offering a practical base for visitors keen on exploring nearby landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and Big Ben. Located close to Victoria Station, the hotel provides convenient access to various transport links, including an airport shuttle service for travelers heading to Heathrow, Gatwick, or Stansted airports.

Accommodations here are compact and self-service, relying on digital check-in methods via WhatsApp, which some guests have found efficient while others note the absence of a traditional reception desk. Rooms are described as clean and air-conditioned but generally small, with limited natural light in lower-level units. Facilities are basic, with free Wi-Fi and smoke-free premises, while amenities such as parking, breakfast, accessible rooms, or on-site dining are not available.

Guest experiences reflect a mixture of convenience and simplicity. Positive reviews highlight good location, quiet surroundings, and helpful communication from staff, underscoring a comfortable stay mainly suited for short visits focused on exploring the city. However, some guests mention the limited space and hotel setup might not suit those seeking more spacious or more staffed accommodations.

With its straightforward approach and setting in a quieter part of London, The Warwick by Nestor is suitable for travelers prioritizing location and affordability over extensive facilities. It particularly appeals to visitors who plan to spend most of their time out and about, rather than on hotel amenities.

Great place in a quiet neighborhood. 40 min walk to the eye. Only 2 blocks (3 min walk)from Victoria Station (Bus, Subway). Clean, nice, and comfortable room. Reasonable price compared to other places in London. Positive aspects: Electric plugs and USB ports on both sides of the bed. Place to hang clothes. We were able to check in at 2 a.m. with a code provided (no problems). The only negative aspect (this is minor) was a small green light on the ceiling... I assume this is a night light (you can see in the middle of the night) but I (and many people) like complete darkness when sleeping. It would not be so bright if this light was near the floor. Everything else was great. I highly recommend.

First thing you should know is that this hotel is a "self service" one, which means that there is no front desk and everything is made by code via your WhatsApp. Rooms are very small ( in my room for example it was so small that there was no space for a chair or a small table to put my suitcase) but clean . In my room there was no window beside in the shower room.... it is good for 1 night, as i staid there, but no more.

Overall a good experience. As noted in a lot of the reviews, the rooms are quite small, but we honestly didn’t mind because we were out doing stuff the whole time so we only slept and showered there. It’s a self checkin similar to an Airbnb but Kevin reached out the day before checkin through WhatsApp to confirm everything and get us ready for checkin the next day. Most of the bad reviews are things I was already aware of before we booked the place so not sure if people weren’t paying attention or just weren’t prepared for a trip abroad (self checkin, lack of internet/data on their smartphones, size of rooms, etc.), but we got our international roaming taken care of beforehand which made checkin a breeze. Room has air conditioning which is nice because most of London doesn’t. You also have the option to keep the window open as well. Shower was hot, towel rack was heated, coffee maker and electric kettle included, but only water source is the bathroom sink. I’d recommend to the owners to supply each room with a couple of bottles of water. The hangers are now wooden, not cardboard as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Our tv remote was iffy, worked when it wanted to, but could be worse (it’s a 2 star hotel). The toilet paper holder was still broken as mentioned in a previous review and there aren’t a ton of horizontal surfaces to set things down on. Size of rooms can make it hard for two people to go through their luggage as well. Bed is VERY comfortable. You might hear other guests coming and going, but not enough to where I lost any sleep. If you’re American, you have to remember these buildings are older than our entire country so be open minded. Overall, great trip, great location with easy access to restaurants, shops, underground stations, very walkable neighborhood, etc. Friendly staff that’s easy to reach by phone or WhatsApp. Biggest improvement I wanted to see was complimentary bottle water, but you know, first world problems. Would book again for sure!

A 5 Star stay in a 2 Star hotel. What a good surprise. Context: I came to work, usually more than 14/16hrs outside my room, if not more than that. New experience: No reception, no people to meet. Just a code to enter my room and that’s it. You’ll get used to it quickly. Communication: I strongly recommend you to call them in advance. They are always replying to WhatsApp or you can give them a call. They are the best. Super friendly and ready to help you in case you need something. After one day I couldn’t notice that there is no reception. Call or text them, they will reply in no time. Staff: I completely ignored the rest of the hotel when you have people like this. And that is what make the experience a very comfortable one. They have exceeded my expectations when I told them that I would need a table to work at night, and…they bought me one! J***** and A****, you’re the best. Rooms, Location, Cleaning, etc..for me, more than enough since I came just to sleep. Rooms: if you plan to stay longer do not choose the lower ground rooms. They have indirect sunlight, but if you plan to stay some time in the hotel, it’s not a good option. Choose one in the upper floor with a large window. Location: Quiet at night and safe. Many restaurants and supermarkets in the neighbourhood, extremely close to Victoria Station. Cleaning: It’s free, I repeat, it’s free, but you must book it. It takes less than 20 seconds, and if you want, book it every day. Laundry: This hotel as a partnership with a laundry company, and you can request it. They will pick up and delivery it in your room. You don’t need to go anywhere to have clean clothes when you arrive at the hotel the next day (usually it takes just one day). Transparency: This is a 2 Star hotel, it’s not more than that. But if A**** and J**** are the ones at the helm you will enjoy your stay.

Stayed here in room no 7 for two nights. The room is spacious, well decorated. Bed was comfortable although Washroom is a bit smaller Over all the stay here was really good. On the last day of my stay, the renovation started on the outside of the place, it was a bit annoying... Perfect easy check in! What a great base for exploring London, and a day trip to Brighton was so easy from here. Room was super comfortable with pristine bed linen and towels. Bathroom was clean and functional with a great shower! Nice quality shampoo and shower gel included. The building itself was quiet so instantly felt relaxed and comfortable away from the hustle and bustle of London. Will definitely be returning to The Warwick on our next London visit!
